WhatsApp soon turning a ‘digital wallet’

Indians are soon receiving the good news of getting the service of digital payment system through WhatsApp as the largest market falls in Indians, bringing it up to 200 million users. This device helps users to pay all sorts of bills and transactions electronically while buying something online or using your smartphones to shop goods and avail services. This happens when your bank accounts are linked to the digital wallet, that makes purchasing easy.

WhatsApp is basically owned by Facebook which is foreseeing and for setting to establish this beneficial service of the digital payment system in India, that is hopefully going to happen within next 6 months. It has been reported through the website that tells news, named as The Ken.

On the website of WhatsApp, it has been offered to Indians as a role in “Digital Transactions Lead, India” that contains all the information about how this service is going to help the people of India who will avail this digital wallet service. A correspondent of WhatsApp said:

“India is an important country for WhatsApp, and we’re understanding how we can contribute more to the vision of Digital India. We’re exploring how we might work with companies that share this vision and continuing to listen closely to feedback from our users.”

The interaction between the co-founder of WhatsApp named Brian Acton and Indian government initiated in February where it was discussed that every user should have the know-how of India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI), that controls the transactions of customers, linking them to their bank accounts while availing services.

As every innovation brings good aspects, it also has wrong effects to the prevailing patterns that are being followed. So this digital wallet system in India is a clear threat to commerce companies and the local payment systems which are prevailing at the present time.

The well-known application invented in Sweden, named as “Truecaller” has also brought up the payment system among users of India. The messenger application of Facebook once added this payment system as well in the United States of America and now they are about to bring this feature in WhatsApp soon.
