Android operating system beat down Windows and it has become the most popular operating system being used nowadays. It has become world’s most popular in terms of complete internet usage across mobile combined, desktop, laptop and tablet.

A survey was conducted on the worldwide usage of various operating systems by the research department of StatCounter, a web analytics firm. During the month of March 2017, android was the one to top the worldwide OS internet usage market share with 37.93%, whereas windows stand at 37.91% for the first n market.

The StatCoounter tracked the gradual coverage of usage for two operating systems over time which was based on the findings of 2.5 million websites.
