University of Lahore Established first Tier-III Certified Data Center In Pakistan

In changing modern world there is needs of change in the technology and new ideas are needed. University of Lahore launched the first Tier-III certified database center. It made a new revolution. No other university or even institute of Pakistan in Private as well as government has established such system.


The opening ceremony otook place in Lahore. Mr. M.A Raoof (Patron UOl), Chairman BOG UOL Mr. Awais Raoof, Country Head, EPI Pakistan MR. javed wadud and other members from Building technologies and various professional from IT industry attended the ceremony.

This new data center is going to host Virtual Desktop Infrastructures for Lab of 11 faculties and includes about 32 departments. in 190 full time degree programs it include Private Clouds for University of Lahore Over 30,000 students. Not only the students are in but the 4000 faculty members are also in,and even SAP student life cycle and management faculties of Campus. It will be offering services to many government and private institutions and commercial organizations.

Schneider Electric was selected as a tech partner and TechAccess Pakistan for integrator to get this big project to the execution. It was in collaboration with Building technology.

Chairman Mr. Awais Raoof spoke in the ceremony and said that our students should tell the world that they are not limited to know about the technology but they also know more about it. He said that there should be a change in the vision of the universities they must think farward for the development.

It will take about 5 months for the completion and the contract was signed on 27th of February by UOL with techAccess pakistan (Pvt.). The TechAccess Pakistan, Schneider Electric and UOL together will working for the project.
