This skill-set is mostly used to make false messages with alphanumeric division such like Ufone, Warid, QAU, GIKI and so on. Before you realize that it is a fraud, you will become a victim that has already deposit some amount into an unknown account or provide it through Easypaisa or Mobicash or related service. Indications for a Fake Prize Call or SMS

- • If it is a real company, then they never ask you for processing or registration fee if the prize is actual or genuine. Just get rid of or ignore such calls or SMS that involve any kind of processing fee.
- • Try to reach the official numbers of the particular company to cross check any prizes or support program that is represented by their company.
PTA actions against Fake Calls/SMS
Now it is definitely a better time for our government to familiarize fraud control systems that has the capacity of detecting the fraud messages. This is possible and PTA recently asked operators to organize and maintain such systems to check tricky or fake and marketing messages. PTA must work in coordination with the operators to confirm that such fraud SMS aren’t sent to mobile phone users.
PTA must initiate an awareness campaign to make people realize about such frauds. But instead of doing it on a large platform they consider it enough to print ads. PTA must start a massive campaign with different workshops, seminars and especially on social media and dramas serials to realize the nation.
